Goals and Impatience.

Working towards something is a process. As impatient as I am about stuff I need to realize that the changes I want won't happen overnight. Day by day, change by change I need to just stay focused on making the new changes habits instead of just a fad. I'm not trying to change the world, just me and how I feel. Being vegan is easy for me, the ONLY animal product I miss is cheese, but I don't miss it enough to go back to eating it. If there is one thing that our holiday travels taught me is that I can't eat all the stuff I was eating. That the diet change I had made before we traveled was working, and that I needed to go back to that. I have, and am happier and feel better. So part of my goal this year is to stick with being vegan even when we travel. This may sound easy, but it's easier said then done. It is going to require planning and packing of healthy foods and snacks that I can eat while we are away. I'm determined to do it though, and I think that determination is going to make it easier to do it.

I'm on day 4 of drinking more water. When I say more water I mean going from drinking maybe a glass or two to drinking 75oz of water a day. Two out of 3 days I've met my goal. I had one day where I was maybe 24oz short. Today is a new day and I'm confident that I will meet todays goal as well. I've been up 2 hours now, and am enjoying my second cup of coffee. After this cup is gone I start drinking water. I will then drink 8oz of water every hour most every hour until 8pm tonight.

Next week's small change goal focuses on sleep. I haven't read that chapter yet because I don't want to get overwhelmed thinking too far ahead. I started early though last night I was in bed by 8:30pm, and I actually fell asleep. I feel pretty good after getting a decent amount of sleep. Made spinach and chive cornmeal pancakes and gimme lean "sausage" patties. So now that I've eaten my quest for water drinking has begun. Two 8oz bottles down, the third started 8 more to go.

Something has occurred to me, if someone doesn't refill the same bottle and uses a new bottle of store bought water each time drinking water could cost money. Thank you filter on the fridge?

So as the baby goes off and plays on her own I try and create a game plan for finding time to eventually vacuum.
